Okay, so you’ve been approved by the DBPR to take the state exam. You’ve completed your Pre-License course and scored pretty well, and quite frankly you’re probably feeling pretty good right now. As a matter of fact, you probably think that because you did so well on the school exam that you are definitely ready to pass the state exam on the first try right? Wrong! Odds are you are not ready!

Statistics from the DBPR show that over 50% of exam candidates fail the state exam on the first try, and over 66% fail when they re-take the exam! It may come as a shock to you, but the school course and exam does not adequately prepare you for the state exam. Odds are you know somebody who has taken the exam many times, and still has not passed! Failing the state exam 2, 3, 4 even 5 times is not uncommon at all.

Oh, one last thing. Please do not make the mistake that a lot of candidates make, and that is trying to read the real estate book from cover to cover, chapter by chapter, line by line. This is probably the WORST way to prepare for the state exam! Its simply too much information, and you will not be tested on a lot of that material.

The key to passing the Florida real estate exam is to FOCUS on only those things that will be on the exam. Learn more about passing the Florida real estate exam here.
